I Would Have Done It Different

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you. Luke 2:11

I would have done things different if I was the Lord. I woud not have used a baby to be the Savior of the world. He would have come with magnificent blood lines. A King that all looked up to and feared. There would have been a party with a huge celebration. And not one man on earth would show any indignation.

I wouldn't have placed Him in a manger like a helpless, hopeless man. He wouldn't be a pauper with no place to lay His head. And there certainly would'nt have been a miraculous conception.. Way too much to try to explain there and room for misconception.

But God, who knows all and sees all had the perfect plan. He sent us a Savior that each and every one could identify with. He sent us a Savior that we could relate to. He was well aware that some day each of us would come face to face and have to make a decision.

It all started with a child to fullfill the promise. The Savior of the world would come as a child to reach each one of us individually. God sent His only son to meet us personally. It takes a child like faith to believe. Christmas is not about children but about becoming a child of God.

God has a gift for you this year and it has your name on it. Do not reject the best gift that has ever been given to you. Acknowledge Him as your Savior. Whisper the words that you believe He came to save you. Make it personable. Take what is freely given unto you. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and ye shall be saved.

I would have done it different
If I was the Lord.
He would have come with majesty
And an announcement so bold.

He wouldn't be a pauper
With no where to sleep.
There wouldn't be wise men
A manger and sheep.

But God knew what we needed
When He gave us His son.
A baby grown to manhood
That we could know as one.

A Savior that was perfect
That washed away my sin.
Who carries me to the foot of the cross
So I can begin again.
